Make Kindness Great Again
The Parable of the Master and Servant is found in Luke 17:1-10. Jesus shares this parable to highlight that doing the right thing, being obedient, kind and forgiving of one another should be the norm. It is the baseline for being a Christian and there are no bragging rights just for doing the right thing. Our God is good and gracious and he expects us to behave in a way that aligns with his Word. If there are so many passages in the Bible that tell us how to treat one another and there are so many self-proclaimed Christians, then why do we not live in a more just, inclusive and forgiving society? It is because we live in a world that publicizes counter-Christian culture first. We see so much hate, destruction and divisiveness that we believe that is the norm. How can we normalize goodness, love, forgiveness and compassion? We as Christians must push past the ways of the world, lead as an example, and be salt and light as God has called us to do. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
