Yoked E15 - The Commitment Trifecta

In this podcast episode, Yemi and Philia discuss the last couple in Dr. David Clarke's book, Joseph and Mary; a couple that embodied serious commitment to each other and their partnership. Mary and Joseph are real couple goals. Despite countless opticals, the couple endured because they were committed to God and to each other. Our last couple of the book exemplifies perseverance, love and respect for each other. Without their obedience to God and the covenant of marriage, they would not have survived the trials. It was because of God's intervention, via a message from an angel, that Joseph did not divorce Mary. Modern day couples are quick to divorce because of the inconvenience of their marriage in their personal lives. Covenant and commitment should not be used as temporal actions. These are binding forever. If Mary and Joseph could do it with all they had going on, we can do it as well (absent the extreme circumstances that were previously discussed). Are you ready to honor your marriage covenant? Are you ready to be completely and totally committed? Or what excuse do you have today?

Yemi - A native Brooklynite, Nigerian-American, Lawyer, Friend and Day One Christian. Yemi is a woman of passion and love for God. She takes time to understand life through the lens of her faith while finding most situations authored by God's comedy. Her desire to grow in faith came during her 2017-2018 episode of depression. She surrendered to God and felt peace in trusting in the Lord. God led her to start a live bible study and prayer call which flourished for two years with the help of her co-host Philia. Yemi desires to share her faith journey and struggles with everyone near and far. She relishes in the transformation and testimonies of others and her heart is most full when she is spreading love.
